Eid-el-Fitr: FIWON Chairperson felicitates with Muslims, Calls For Prayers For Gov. Ododo’s
The Federation of Informal Workers of Nigeria FIWON, Kogi State Chapter, has congratulated Muslims on the successful conclusion of the Ramadan fast.
Comr. Maryam Usman Ibrahim, Chairperson of the State FIWON, in a statement, urged Muslims to continue to pray for the nation, especially the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo.
“In the last one month, I observed the piety and the spirit of giving which is associated with the month and, therefore, urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to remain their brother’s keeper till eternity so as to make the society better for it.
“I urge you to continue in a life of prayers for the State and the administration of Gov. Ododo. Being the first Ramadan under the present administration, I urge our Muslim brethren and indeed all Kogites to continue to pray for the peaceful and unity of the State,” he said.
Comr. Maryam urged Muslims to project Islam through the good examples of love, tolerance and peaceful disposition at all times, which she said are prerequisite for protecting the perception of the religion from distortion.
She urged Nigerians particularly Kogites to imbibe the lessons of peace and hope taught by the fasting month Ramadan.
She described the present administration in the State as one that is people oriented, says with the people’s prayers, sustained support, the administration will surpass their yearnings and aspirations.
