Efforts on top gear to give facelift, massively turnaround all Primary Schools Infrastructure in Kogi – Education Commissioner.


 

 

The Kogi State Commissioner For Education Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones says just like the massive intervention the State Government has made in Tertiary and Secondary Education, efforts is on top gear to give facelift and to massively turnaround all Primary Schools in the State.

 

Hon. Jones made the disclosure when he received in audience His Royal Highness, Oba Ibitayo Faleke, the Olu of Iyah Gbede and his entourage in his office today, described Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration as one that has turnaround the education sector of the State.

The Commissioner listed the massive interventions in the tertiary institutions and secondary schools in the State as a watershed transformation made by the present administration.

Aside infrastructure development, the administration he pointed out equally embarked on massive recruitment to fill existing gaps in teachers, said the administration has ensured that private schools operating in the State are now regulated to meet quality standards of operation.

He said with technology efforts has been put in place by Government through the Ministry to now have a data base of qualifications of teachers, numbers of students and private schools operating in the State.

The Commissioner noted that efforts is on to revamp education sector in the state with the massive turnout of primary schools.

The Commissioner thanked the monarch and his entourage stating that His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello is irreversibly committed to revamping education sector in the state, pointing out that the State Government has done so much in all aspects of Education must especially the Tertiary education.
