Edward Olu Sunday’s demise sad, shocking – Mopamuro GYB Team


 

The Mopamuro Local Government GYB Team has expressed sadness and shock over the demise of the former GYB Local Government Coordinator of Ward Governors, Mr Edward Olu Sunday, saying his death will leave a painful hole in the hearts of all the people that encountered his kindness.
Speaking on behalf of the Team in Lokoja, Friday, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo expressed shock over the sudden death of Mr Sunday.
“The Mopamuro GYB Family has lost a committed leader and a man who believed so much in the ideology and leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello.
“We called him the Governor General because he was the LG Coordinator of the Ward Governors and he played a significant role in making APC popular in the Local Government Area.
“He will be sorely missed for his immeasurable commitment to the greatness of our party, the APC and the Local Government as a whole”.
Fanwo said the Governor had sent his sympathy to the family of the deceased and the entire people of Mopamuro, saying efforts will be made by Government to support the family.
“We will all be at the burial as a family to pay our last respect to the late Edward Olu Sunday and to support the family he left behind. He lived a short but fulfilled life and he will be remembered for his forthright attitude and dedication to his beliefs”, he said.
The remains of the late Edward Olu Sunday popularly known as Olu Aleju will be laid to rest on Saturday 13th February, 2021 at the Ileteju Mopa Cemetery.
