Edo State Action Committee On Prevention, Spread Of HIV / AIDS Sets Up Team For It’s Activities

As Edo State Government efforts to stop the spread of Hiv/ Aids continue, the State Action Committee On Aids Prevention Technical Working Group has put up a team to oversee its activities.

The team was put up towards ensuring , Edo state people adhere strictly to the enlightenment campaign that says “HIV/AIDS is real”.

The body has the responsibility of organising programmes and activities geared towards the prevention and control of the spread of HIV/AIDS in Edo state.

The group has as its chairman, the state coordinator of State Action Committee on Aids Prevention, Mrs Flora Oyakhilome. Mr Festus Alenkhe, a journalist and chairman of the Nigerian Red cross society, Edo state Branch will serve as vice chairman. Others are lkpomwonsa Adagbonyi, secretary , with Mrs Ejeme Ebikhamen as assistant secretary.

In her remark , Mrs Flora Oyakhilome said, a program to mark 2020 world Aids Day will be mapped out. The event is marked every 1st December each year.
