Edo First Lady Disburses Grants, Equipment To Vulnerable Residents

The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, through her pet project, the Better Life Empowerment and Care Foundation (BeLiFE & Care), has reaffirmed the commitment of Senator Monday Okpebholo’s administration to alleviating the burden on citizens in line with the SHINE Agenda.
Mrs. Anani, who disbursed cash grants and empowerment items to vulnerable residents stated that the essence of government is to serve, support, and improve the welfare of its people.
Speaking at the Government House weekend during the disbursement stated that, “the support may not solve every challenge, it is a meaningful start.”
” I offended these items and cash to enable you all to have a little support, through which you can start from, though I knew it may not be enough but you have to manage it “, she stated.
According to her, ” my personal journey from humble beginnings to building a successful business,I encouraged beneficiaries to remain focused, determined and resilient in the pursuit of their goals.
The First Lady offered prayers for beneficiaries who would be using the funds to cover medical expenses, asking God to grant them healing and restoration. She further urged all recipients to make judicious use of the resources provided to improve their lives and livelihoods.
In addition to cash grants, beneficiaries received empowerment items including sewing machines and deep freezers to support their businesses and enhance their means of livelihood.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Mr. Eghobamien Lucky and Mrs. Osedei Jennifer, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her compassion, generosity, and continued support for the less privileged in society.
