As the race for the 2024 governorship election draws near, a top most aspirant on the platform of the Labour Party, Mr. Bassey Ogbemudia Osagie said that if given the opportunity to govern the state that he will deploy all the instruments of governance to completely remove Edo people from abject poverty and be a reference point to others.
Ogbemudia promised this in a chart with The Nigerian Post in Benin City while rolling out some of the plans he has for the people of Edo state.
Osagie said he will shock those who do not believe that the economy of Edo State can be revived as quickly as possible if all the needed apparatuses are applied to do the needful.
He said having been abroad for years , it has exposed him to so many things that can assist him to bring on board all the needed experience that will help him to put a good and acceptable governance in place.
According to him, “I have always loved to work and support my people. That was the main reason I always reach out to my people. Edo 2024 is an opportunity for me to offer myself to work for Edo people as Governor. I am already reaching out to investors that will help me to achieve the dream of changing the narrative in Edo State. I therefore need the support of all the people to succeed in actualizing the dream of being the number one citizen of the state”.
He said he believed strongly that he needs competent hands to assist him in his Government, adding that, that is the reason he will run an inclusive government where he will have the opportunity to bring in technocrats and professionals in their fields of endeavour to take the center stage in the government.
Edo State will be a reference point for other states to follow, we will make sure vocational studies are put in place for our children to excel in their various endeavor.
