EBOTRANS GM, Idenyi Appeals Gov Nwifuru For Release Of Buses to Enhance Effective Service Delivery

The General Manager of Ebonyi State Transport Cooperation (EBOTRANS ) Dr. Simon Idenyi has appealed to the Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the release of 13 buses used for covid 19 project in the thirteen Local Government Areas of the State and currently packed at Government House Abakaliki for them to repair and put in use and procure new vehicles for the cooperation to enhance effective and efficient service delivery.
He made the passionate appeal while addressing newsmen in Abakaliki, the State Capital.
The EBOTRANS boss who noted that lack of buses has greatly harmpard the transport services in the area, disclosed that the cooperation has only 22 vehicles, adding that their request if granted would make lives easier for Ebonyi people and other road users across the Country.
According to him ” I wish to ask for your approval, His Execellency sir, the release of 13 buses used for covid-19 project in the thirteen LGA’s and packed in the Government house, Abakaliki, for Ebonyi State Transport Cooperation to repair and use. I shall be happy for your kind approval”
“We have depots but the problem is that we don’t have enough vehicles to run them, currently we have only 22 vehicles and it is not enough for us”
“We inherited 9 motor parks and 8 vehicles from the past adminstration, we repaired 12 old vehicles while we bought 5 new sienna vehicles and also opened 7 depots”
The General Managers further disclosed his intention to open parks at Lagos, Benue, Edo, Bayelsa, Cross River, Enugu and Imo States among others
“We also want to open park at Cameroon to help our people who used to come to Nigeria for business purposes, we will as well open another park at Ghana to help our students studying at Ghana”
“All the parks put together will be 30 parks in number” he concluded
The EBOTRANS General Manager, however, applauded the State Governor Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his numerous achievements since his assumption of office in the State and pledged the total support of the cooperation at all times.
