
Ebonyi: UBEB Permanent Member 11 Urges Tinubu To Beef Up Security Across Zones

The Permanent Member 11 of Ebonyi State Universal Basic Education Board UBEB, Hon. Chijioke Nwuzor has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reinforce security architecture to guarantee lives of road users across all the geopolitical zones of the country.
The Board member made this appeal while interacting with journalists immediately after his thanksgiving ceremony which he organized to thank God for saving him from the hands of the kidnappers who kidnapped him on his way from Abuja to Ebonyi State on 21st October, 2025.
Hon. Nwuzor said it took the intervention of Ebonyi State Government to rescue him after six days in captivity.
According to him “on that fateful day, 21st October, 2025, I was coming back from Abuja to Ebonyi State, getting to Alioma and Ejule in Kogi state, we were kidnapped into a tick forest for 6 good days with torture and uncertainty but thank God that I was rescued”. He added.
He called on the Nigerian Government to see insecurity as one of the greatest challenges facing the country and stressed the need for its to be tackled accordingly for the good of every citizens.
According to him “It’s unfortunate that Nigerians live on perpetual fear every day, I cannot believe that those kidnappers have grown above government. These are the people that have residence, they have locations and as such could be tackled “. He added.
The UBEB chairman, Mrs Patience Ogodo said it was a miracle from God the way Hon. Chijioke Nwuzor was rescued from the hands of the hoodlums and appreciated God for saving his life.
The member representing Izzi East Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly Hon. Godwin Abiri, the State secretary of the All progressive Congress Hon. Charles Ofoke and the chairman of the occasion who doubles as the special assistant to the Governor on street light Hon. Sylvester Nwamini expressed deep gratitude to God for saving the victim in the hands of the abductors and commended the State Government under the leadership of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for its quick intervention.
