Ebonyi South 2023: Youth, empowerment, others top Evangelist Egwu’s agenda


THE Action Alliance Senatorial Candidate for Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Reuben Uche Egwu has asked “President Mohammadu Buhari to stop the blame game and take responsibility for the high level of poverty and insecurity bedevilling the country and address the social malaise headlong”.

 

Egwu made the call on Friday in Abakaliki during a Press Conference declaring his willingness to put the electorate first in his journey to the Nigerian Senate in 2023.

Egwu further observed that “the recent terrorist invasion of Kuje prison is as a result of poor intelligence gathering on the part of the armed forces which the President commands”.
He vowed “to provide an oversight function that will arm and provide logistics for the armed forces to combat terrorist influx”.

The Action Alliance Senatorial hopeful announced what informed his journey to the National Assembly to include “effective and quality representation.
“Making strong inputs in the legislative process for the overall good of the elites and the streets.
“My Senatorial District, Ebonyi South is heavily endowed with natural resources.
“In Ohaozara for instance, we have rich deposits of solid minerals in Afikpo, Ivo, Onica and Edda.
“A Bill for an Act establishing Palm Production Company, industrialisation of the District, youth empowerment and scholarships will top our people -first agenda.

“I will ensure the Legislature collaborates with the executive arm of government to address the plethora of problems that have appeared insurmountable.

“Through my regular town hall meetings with my constituents, I will get direct information and complaints than the guesswork fraught with errors and ensure I don’t misfire and missteps in my intervention.

“I chose to contest under the Action Alliance Party because it is the platform that prioritises the people’s welfare.

“APC has mismanaged this country. Action Alliance is the only hope. And that is why I calling on our people to vote for me as their Senator”, he said
