The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii has assured of massive wealth creation and people oriented administration if elected in this year’s forthcoming. Governorship election.
He gave the assurance during the party’s campaign rally in Abakaliki Local Government Area of the State.
The PDP Gubernatorial candidate who pledged to restore peace in all the nooks and crannies of the State, vowed to put top priorities on education and a reformation of the civil service system.
He noted that he would run an all-inclusive Government and enjoined the people of the State to expect true transformation that would change the state from its current poverty level to prosperity and as well as reduced over taxation.
According to him ” What you suffered in the last eight years God is about to bring happiness to you. Every land taken away from everyone of you by the time we come on board we will take the land back to all of you. Go and get your PVC’s let’s say good bye to the wicked Government and welcome Government with human face”
“My Government will be anchored on massive wealth creation and will be people oriented. We will reduce taxation and you will be paying according to what you earn. The time Government will come and take what belongs to the people without compensation has gone”
However, he called on Ebonyi people to vote PDP candidates at all levels to return the State’s lost glory, saying if voted into power his administration would put poverty to an end and provide good governance, succor to the needy, embarked on aggressive youths and women empowerments.
Odii also said he would bring everyone together and expressed readiness to reconcile the problem of indigenes and non indigenes in the urban while assuring that his Government would fight crime and criminality to the stand still.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Sam Egwu, the former governor and a serving senator representing Ebonyi North, said members of the party had supported the Gubernatorial ticket to the north but AnyiChuks emerged as the Will of the supremacy of the party.
He said the PDP would not be violent to canvass for votes but to continue with persuasion and expressed confidence that they would emerge victorious at the polls while urging the people to support AnyiChuks for a better state for all.
The National vice chairman of the party southeast, Chief Ali Odefa commended the campaign rally team for overcoming all sorts of intimidation from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure smooth campaign activities.
He said AnyiChuks would guarantee good governance for the people and develop the State beyond its current state.
The wife of the guber candidate, Mrs. Ebele Odii urged the women to vote for the party’s Guber candidate at the polls because of his passion to lift People’s lives to a better standard.
The acting party chairman, Barrister Ifeanyi Nworie, commend the mobilization of supporters for the rally and described it as a display of evidence for winning the election in the State.
“What we are seeing here is a clear indication that our candidate has already won the election.
“The governor of this state has left for APC but we are going to deliver a man that would liberate the State from the suffering of APC.
Mr. Francis Alegu, the PDP chairman of Abakaliki LG, said they are fully motivated to vote for all PDP candidates 100 percent.
Others who spoke at the event include the director of the women’s wing, Mrs. Vivian Chima, and Mrs. Frances Mbada, called on the women to use their voter’s cards wisely on election day by voting for credible candidates as paraded by the PDP.
