The Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has commissioned a newly built ultra-modern Administrative Complex at the Abakaliki Local Government Council Headquarters.
The commissioning ceremony took place during the grand flag-off of the APC Local Government Election Campaign in Abakaliki LGA ahead of the August 22, 2026 council polls.
The Governor represented by his Deputy, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, commended the Chairman of Abakaliki LGA, Chief Ebere Nwogba, for delivering a legacy infrastructure project that aligns with the People’s Charter of Needs agenda.
While officially presenting the party’s flag to the APC Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Chidiebere Aloh, and his Vice-Chairmanship running mate, the Governor expressed gratitude to the stakeholders and grassroots supporters of Abakaliki LGA for their massive mobilization, reassuring Ebonyians of his administration’s continued dedication to public welfare.
The State APC Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, highlighted the strategic importance of Abakaliki LGA in state politics, noting that the APC-led administration has consistently prioritized the welfare of Abakaliki people, who will in turn reciprocate with maximum votes at the polls.
The Chairman, State APC Local Government Campaign Council, Amb Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, Hon. Ebere Nwogba, the Council Chairman and Hon. Emma Uguru, unanimously assured the party leadership of a 100 percent vote delivery for all APC candidates in the area.
Others including, Rt. Hon. Joseph Ununu, Senator Sylvanus Ngele, Dr. Mathew Uguru, Engr. Mbam Stanley Lebechi, Comrade Chinedu Emerike, and Hon. Mrs. Franca Okpo, among other prominent stakeholders, thanked Governor Nwifuru for his developmental projects in the area and pledged an overwhelming victory for the ruling party.
The APC Chairmanship Candidate for Abakaliki LGA, Hon Chidiebere Aloh, expressed profound gratitude to the electorate and party leaders, promising to build on the existing developmental foundation and drive sustainable grassroots progress if elected.
Alo pledged to prioritize security, education, infrastructure, and rural development in the council.
He appreciated the State Governor Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for given him the opportunity to serve his people, saying he would reciprocate by ensuring that he steps down the People’s Charter of Needs agenda to the grassroots.
According to him “God have done a wonderful thing to me, my family, village and the entire good people of Abakaliki local government by giving me a chance to fly the APC flag to contest election”
Aloh also promised to operate an open government where everyone would be carried along in the scheme of things.
