—Charges Them To Respect Govt Policies

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Market and Parks development Professor Nwogo Ajuka Obasi has Inaugurated the newly elected executives of the State St. Margret Umahi International Market with the charge on them to respect all the policies and programmes of the State Government under the leadership of Governor Francis Nwifuru in their own interest.
Inaugurating the executives which comprises the five lots of the market in his office in Abakaliki, the Commissioner noted that the market is the State Government interprize and as such needs to be properly take care of by ensuring adequate security, take care of all the electric applianceses among others and warned that anybody who constituted nuisances would be suspended and replaced immediately to serve as deterrent to others.
He charged the executives of the five lots to strive to put to stop unnecessary levies and monitor those that come for revenue collection to avoid multiple revenues that would affect traders in the market while calling on the past leaders of the market to give maximum support to the new leadership for the success of their administration.
However, he commended the State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru for providing the much needed conducive and enabling environment for businesses to thrive, as well as empowering Ebonyi youths who are into street hawking and other menial jobs with two million naira each, which according to him was the first of its kind in the South East geopolitical zone and the Country.
He added that his Ministry would soon organize business submit for traders in the State to help in the realization of Governor Nwifuru dreams of lifting Ebonyi people out of poverty.
In their seperate speeches, the chairman of Lot one St. Margaret Umahi International market Abakaliki Mr Jeremiah Ikporo and his counterpart of lot two Mrs Patience Nwali applauded the State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru and the Commissioner for market and parks development Professor Nwogo Ajuka Obasi for given them the opportunity to serve in that capacity and promised not to disappoint them but rather would ensure peace, unity and harmony among traders in the market, and also support all the policies and programmes of the State Government for the overall development of the State.
