Ebonyi: Amachi DC Coordinator Seeks Stakeholders Support For Optimum Peace, Security

The Coordinator of Amachi Development Center, Hon. (Mrs) Victoria Ifeoma Mbam has solicited for the support of the key stakeholders towards achieving optimum peace, security and orderliness in the center.

She made the remark during a security meeting held at the Development Center Secretariat Uwarem, in Abakaliki Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.

The Coordinator who described peace as an engine for development, noted that her adminstration would ensure peace across the component villages of the Development Center and also prioritize on the security of lives and property of the citizenry.

She urged everybody in the Development Center especially the stakeholders to join hands with her in realizing the peace agenda of her adminstration as no meaningful Development would be achieved in the atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.

However, Mrs Mbam commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for appointing her to serve in that capacity and promised to step down the People’s Charter of Needs mantra of his adminstration to the grassroots.

She further urged stakeholders of the area never to hesitate in making good suggestions capable of uplifting the center so to as to make it one of the best centers in the State and extolled her staff for their commitment and dedication to duty.

On their part, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Primary Education Hon. Peter Nwogbaga, former Coordinators of the Development Center, Hon. Fidelis Nwokeocha and Hon Obinna Nwiboko respectively applauded the state governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the appointment of Mrs Mbam and expressed optimism over her ability to deliver on the mandate.

They charged everyone to give the Coordinator maximum supports and cooperations to move the center forward.

Adding their voices, the Secretary Judicial Service Commission Magistrate Lazarus Nwuka, former EBBC Board Member, Mr Sonny B Akpaegu, a business mogul, Chief Sunday Nwambam, Supervisor for Agric in Abakaliki LGA Mr Jeremiah Oduma, Councilor representing Amachi Ward 2, Hon. Febian Mbam, a regent of Amachi Community Prince Boniface Nwokeocha appreciated the Coordinator for calling the meeting and assured her of their maximum supports and solidarity at all times.

They further enjoined the people of Amachi Community to refrain from activities capable of underming the growth of the center and advocated for unity of purpose and peaceful coexistence among one another in their own best interest.

The Officer in charge of Nwanwu Division, Sgt. Promise Iwuala assured of giving the much needed security of lives and property in the area.

The Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo Ebonyi State chapter Dr. Peter Mbam was also present during the meeting.
