Easter: Resurrection of Christ, Sign of Victory, Says Amb. Kemi Olawumi.


Amb. Kemi Olawumi, former Senior Special Assistant, Cultural Integrations to Kogi State Governor, Alh.Yahaya Adoza Bello, has charged Nigerians to allow love which is the cardinal point of Christian injunctions to guide their actions in relating with one another.

Amb. Kemi, in a message to Christians at this year’s Easter, said with love and piety, Nigerians would surmount all the challenges the country was currently facing.

In her message titled: “Nigeria will Overcome” said “the Easter period reminds us of brotherly love, peaceful co-existence, tolerance, honesty, humility, justice, equity and fairness to all without discrimination as contained in the Scriptures.

“This particular injunction is important to us as a people as we continue to contend with the challenges of nation-building, bad economy, insecurity and poor leadership.”

She said the Easter story represents the fulfillment of God’s Prophecy that mankind would be offered the hope of eternal life through the sacrificial death of His son, Jesus Christ and His subsequent resurrection from the dead, saying it is the faith that has kept the Christiandom alive and enabled its followers to significantly contribute towards making the earth a better place for all mankind.

Amb Kemi used the celebration to congratulate Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for witnessing yet another Easter celebration, pointing out that his early steps has indicated sacrifice and ability to serve the people of the State.

Amb. Kemi wished the people of the State a wonderful celebration, pointing out that Christ should be the reason for the season.
