Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, Ph.D., from Kogi West Senatorial District was born on the 12th day of June, 1970. She is a Nigerian politician who hails from Kogi State, Nigeria. She was the National Woman Leader of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) later All Progressive Congress (APC) after the party and other political parties merged (2014 – 2018). She has supported the incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari during his presidential campaigns.
She was born on 12 June, 1970 in Wuse area Abuja, Nigeria.She is the daughter of late Alhaji Mamman Sidi Ali, who was the Bawan Allah of Lokoja in Kogi State.
Ramatu started her early childhood education at Dawaki Primary school Suleja in 1976 and in 1982 after she finished her primary school she enrolled for her secondary education at Federal Government College (FGC) Minna, Niger state and finished in 1988.
Two years later after a successful completion of her remedial program, Ramatu got admitted into Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for her undergraduate program to study Urban and Regional Planning. She graduated in 1995 with Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) Urban and Regional Planning, after which Ramatu went to Nasarawa State University, Keffi for her Masters Degree in Public Administration. She was conferred with honorary doctorate degree in Public Administration by the Commonwealth University, London and has also earned a certificate in Leadership Skills from the Abbey College, London.
The happily married Hajia Ramatu who is a banker and philanthropist also runs an NGO she founded; the Global Women and Youth Empowerment Strategy (GLOWYES).
She first started her work life after she was mobilized to observe the compulsory national service, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing. Young Ramatu later joined AZAH Intermediaries Nigeria Limited, a civil engineering construction firm, where she worked as Managing Director for some years, but she later went back to university where she bagged her Masters degree and Certificate in Leadership Skills and currently undergoing a PH.D program.
In 2004, Aliyu was appointed special adviser on Women affairs, Youth and Social Development to the chairman of the Gwagwalada Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Nigeria.
In 2007, she ran for political office to represent Kwali/Abaji federal constituency in the Nigeria National Assembly (NASS) but her bid was unsuccessful, a year later in 2008, she was appointed vice national chairman of her party, which was the major opposition political party in Nigeria at the time, All Nigeria Peoples Party(ANPP) which she served as the overseer North Central Zone.
In 2010 she was given the national women leader of the party, and concurrently served as the president of the Council of African Political Parties (CAPP) after she successful contested and won the election which took place in Khartoum, Sudan.
In 2014, after three opposition political parties in Nigeria merged into one, including her own party ANPP, she was appointed the women leader of the new party All Progressives Congress (APC), which she served until 2018.
She was assigned with a portfolio as the Minister of State for FCT.
Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu PhD has since after her appointment proven to the whole world that she has got capacity to deliver. She has since her assumption of office add value to the well-being of the FCT residents. She has embarked on developmental project across all the Area Council’s in FCT. She is indeed mama project in the history of FCT Administration.
Her penchant for good Governance and her unwavering love for the less privileged and the downtrodden has caused her to embark on live changing programs bordering on Poverty alleviation programs and diverse youths and women empowerment program that has drastically reduced the rate of unemployment and also reduce the poverty rate of FCT and beyond.

Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has overtime demonstrated what it means to serve humanity,she is a humanitarian per excellence and a doyen to the women of Nigeria,Africa and indeed the wholewide world.
Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu service to humanity has gotten the attention of the traditional rulers back in her State of Origin which has endeared them to her. Little wonder she was recently coronated as the OYINZE OF EBIRALAND and concurrently as the YEYE BOBASELU OF EKINRIN ADE KINGDOM.
The minister has got so many award too numerous to be counted for her Sterling performance as a public office holder and a humanitarian per excellence.
Because of her passionate love for her party the APC and her tenet capacity cum closeness to the people at the grassroot she has been constantly appointed as Chairman of several groups across the country among which is the recent one where she was appointed and inaugurated as the Chairman Advisory Council of APC NORTH CENTRAL YOUTHS CAMPAIGN COUNCIL and was also named the political Field Marshal of North Central.
Her philanthropic gesture and service to humanity has endeared many to the APC.
Hajia Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has over the years becomes a household name across the country as she keeps lifting people from nobody to somebody.
The peoples minister in support of the aspiration of His Excellency Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TINUBU and Senator Kashim SHETTIMA for the top job has founded a group named NIGERIANS UNITE FOR TINUBU/SHETTIMA MANDATE which has Zonal structures,States Structures,Local Government structures,Ward structures and polling unit canvassers across the 36 states of the Federation. She instituted the tell 1 to tell 10 movement for TINUBU/SHETTIMA mandate under the NUFTS mantra.
