In life, nothing is worth celebrating than longevity in good health,good living and peace of the mind amidst other life’s challenges.
Dr Aminu Attaboh, who was born on 2nd August ,1967, turns 54 on 2nd August,2021 to the glory of God and in service to humanity.
Attaboh ,a maverick politician of all shades and opinion started his early life in the public service as s civil servant, and later joined politics after many years of meritorious service and lived an indelible mark at the top echelon of the service.
The academic cum politician had his PHD’s In Financial Management and Accounting from the International University of Bermanda in Cameron in 2008 after his Msc and Postgraduate studies,made a foray into the political waters of Nigeria as he held various political positions both at the state,and local government levels.
He was at one time or the other Caretaker Chairman ,Omala local government in May 2012 ,where he perfomed excellently well,a feat that is difficult to surpass more than a decade after he left office,after he served as , Executive Secretary,Kogi State Local Government Pensions Board,Lokoja in 2008-2010 and Executive Chairman,Bureau of Local Government Pensions,Kogi state from 2010-2012.
The workaholic council boss then, was known for prompt payment of workers salaries,pensioners,promotions and was at the forefront of the welfare of civil servants at the grassroot level in Omala local government.
This positive developement resulted into the clamour for elective position as Chairman,Omala local government,an ambition he later dropped to pave way for collective bargaining and political consideration.
Dr Attaboh deployed the quasi civil service appointments as a member of Kogi state Local Government Pension board,Bureau of Local Government Pensions a position that brought alot of succour to pensioners at the local government levels in Kogi state.
He was also a senior aide to former Kogi Governor, Capt Idris Wada having served as Special Adviser (SA Political) , in his cabinet between 2015-2016.
The maverick politician has also served as advisor to very senior political office holders,political office seekers and a rallying point to politicians through his contributions to the political developement of Kogi state, Nigeria at large.
He was also enlisted with other professional qualifications such as Associate Member, Institute of Chatered Secretaries And Adminstration Of Nigeria (ICSAN), Member, Chatered Institute Of Management (NIM),Member, Association Of National Accountants (ANAN),Member, The Institute Of Cost Management Accountants(ICMA),and Associate Member, The Institute Of Public Accountants of Nigeria(IPAN).
An experienced civil servants,he had his working experience both at the Local, State and Federal level and was one of those that developed the Pension Reform Acts 2004,an act for the establishment of Sovereign Wealth Fund(SWF),and Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).
Dr Attaboh is a business mogul who had a stake in the hospitality industry as well as other business conglomerates, including estate developement and management,he is currently the Chairman,Chief Executive Miami Hotels and Resort,Lokoja among many other business interests.
