Don’t malign the personality of Seyi…..Agada Noah
TEXT OF A PRESS BRIEFING ON THE RELEASE OF A DISTASTEFUL SONG BY IDRIS ABDULKAREEM TITLED “SEYI TELL YOUR PAPA”
Distinguished members of the press, fellow comrades, patriotic Nigerians,
It is with deep concern and patriotic responsibility that we, the Concerned Nigerian Comrades, address you today on the recent release of a song by Mr. Idris Abdulkareem, titled “Seyi Tell Your Papa”. This song, which we find to be laced with mischief and political undertones, is a clear attempt to malign the personality of Seyi, a rising youth figure committed to engaging with young Nigerians for national progress.
Mr. Idris Abdulkareem, who once earned respect for his socially conscious music, has sadly derailed into what can best be described as a serial critic of every administration — not out of constructive concern, but seemingly for self-promotion and desperate relevance in a competitive industry where his peers are breaking new grounds.
This pattern of mudslinging, masked as activism, is not only misleading to the public but also distracts from genuine national discourse. It is shameful that a man of his age and past acclaim would rather fan the flames of discord than contribute meaningfully to youth engagement and nation-building.
We strongly call on Mr. Idris Abdulkareem to desist from raising unnecessary dust. The Nigerian youth are not deceived. We are wiser, more united, and focused on building bridges across generations. If Mr. Abdulkareem truly desires relevance, let it be through constructive actions, mentorship, and contribution to national development—not through cheap shots and divisive lyrics.
We remain committed to fostering unity, progress, and responsible civic engagement. We urge all artists and influencers to rise to the occasion and use their platforms to inspire, not mislead.
