A Youth leader in Labour party has issued a Stern warning to Executive members of Labour party holding key positions.
In a communique issued after a crucial meeting in Kano state, a Youth leader Mr Danladi Gwagwaruwa implore the key officers across the 36 states of Nigeria including Abuja not to tamper with Election logistics funds of the party.
Mr Danladi noted that some exco members have the habit of hijacking such money for their personal interest.
He said anyone caught will face dare consequences.
He explained that some states exco frustrated the efforts made by the party during the nationwide rally of the presidential flag bearer of the party Mr Peter Obi.
According to the leader some of the campaign rallies hit rock .
Making reference to the failed rally in Lokoja Kogi state he said Mr Peter Obi was shocked when he entered Lokoja township stadium only to see a scanty empty stadium .
He said this was due to fraudulent practices.
The youth leader who accompanied Mr Peter Obi to Lokoja during the rally said he was disappointed in the turn out.
Still on fraud Mr Danladi reiterated that a a similar fraud was also reported at Igalamela Odolu LGA of Kogi state where the lGA Labour party Chairman swindle his fellow members, starve them through out the day at Lokoja during Peter Obi rally , `this is a pure sabotage` he explained.
Commenting on anti party activity, the leader said some people are Labour party in the morning but APC at night. He urge members to be vigilant of fake LP members,
To curtail fraud he appeal to the top officials to decentralise the disbursement of logistics fund .
According to him funds should be disburse directly to units using the payroll system rather than state Chairmen.
Mr. Danladi praise faithful labour party members and urge them not to sleep until Obi emerge the president of federal republic of Nigeria.
