Don’t Compromise Your Health, Wellness As Journalists – Comr Adeiza Momoh Jimoh, Kogi NUJ Chairman.


 

Working Journalists in Kogi State have been asked to make there fitness and wellness a priority owing to the demanding nature of the profession.

 

 

 

 

The Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comr Adeiza Momoh Jimoh gave the advice at the fitness walk and Exercise as part of activities organised to mark the 2020 Kogi State NUJ Press Week, urged working Journalists to place priority on there health.

The Chairman explained that only the living and those who are fit can practice the Journalists profession in view of the tasky and demanding nature it entails, said the union is working on upgrading facilities in the Union’s clinic.

The NUJ Chairman urged Journalists to make daily Exercise and staying fit part of there itinerary, thanked God that thus far, the union has not recorded any ugly incident, but said to be forewarned and make the necessary preparation and check to be fit has become necessary.

He charged Journalists to be Professional in the discharge of there assignment, urged them to report issues that would unite the people and those that would promote investment and attract investors.

He also tasked Journalists to be objectives and unbiased in there reportage, said what the state and country needs now more than ever before, is information that would promote cohesiveness and promote socioeconomic developement.

Highlights of the exercise by the Journalists include road work and fitness exercises to keep them safe and strong while discharging there assignment.
