Don’t be distracted – SDP Deputy Governorship Candidate tells Muri/Sam Perfect Women Association


 

As the Governorship election in Kogi State draws nearer, supporters of the Social Democratic Party, SDP have been enjoined to remain focused and ignore distractions of whatever form.

 

Deputy Governorship Candidate of the SDP, Honourable Sam Abenemi gave the charge in Lokoja while addressing members of the Muri/Sam Perfect Women Association.

 

Honourable Sam Abenemi said there was no going back as victory was sure for the SDP.

He expressed concern that even those who were not born at the time he wrote GCE O Level were claiming he forged certificate, describing the scenerio as a sign of a sinking boat.

The SDP Governorship candidate told the gathering not to be scared, but come out in their numbers to cast their vote on November eleventh, assuring that there was no cause for panic as the era of that was over.

Hon Abenemi explained that women have a place in the next political dispensation, saying he was impressed that women had seen their victory ahead of time.

Abenemi expressed appreciation to the Perfect Women Association and its Coordinator for their commitment to the course, adding that women and youth empowerment will be key during their administration.

Earlier, in her welcome address, the coordinator of the Association,
Hajia Salamatu Salem said their decision to support SDP was borne out of the need to ensure good governance.

She called on women from across the state to put aside sentiments and vote SDP on the election day next month, saying there is greater hope in the party.

Hajia Salamatu assured that the Association will continue to embark on door to door campaign to ensure the victory of Muri/Sam next month.

Prominent personalities from across Lokoja Local Government Area accompanied Hon Sam Abenemi on the campaign visit.
