The wife of the Ebonyi State Governor Chief (Mrs) Mary Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru has advised children in the State not to be afraid to speak up if anyone caused harm on them as her BERWO foundation is ever ready to fight against the person and as well protect their lives.

The Governor’s wife gave the advise during children’s Christmas party held at presidential Lodge, Centenary City Abakaliki.

She encouraged the children to respect one another, show commitment to their studies and shun any attitude that would endanger their lives as they are the hope of tomorrow.

According to her “As the mother of the state, I have a very special message for you, a message I have always passed across every time. I am here to protect you at all times and to make sure no harm comes to you, but you must learn to speak up. If anyone is causing any danger to you, make sure you report it. I will fight for you through my foundation BERWO”
The Governor’s wife described christmas as a season of hope for children as it helps to nurture their confidence, dreams and sense of belongings.
“This celebration is for you. Sing loudly, dance freely, enjoy every gift, and embrace the magic of today. Believe in yourselves, respect one another, and always remember that your dreams are valid. No matter where you come from, greatness lives within you”
Mrs Nwifuru enjoined parents, teachers, and guardians to inculcate children with good morals that they would not depart from when they grow up and always make them to feel safe.
“Our children are the greatest gift God has given to us. They are dreamers, leaders in the making, and the heartbeat of tomorrow. When we celebrate them, we are investing in a future built on confidence, kindness, and possibility. Please learn to listen to them when they come to talk to you, and always make them feel safe.
She thanked organizers of the programme for making sure it came to success and wished Ebonyi children a Christmas filled with love and new year full of endless possibilities.
Meanwhile, the event was attended by top government officials, featuring different forms of completions.
