The Chairman of Edo State chapter of Labour Party (LP), Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi has said that Edo people particular and Nigerians at large deserve commendation for being dogged and resilient in their unflinching resolve to follow the path of love, peace, unity and oneness in the face of deprivations occasioned by government criminal negligence and monumental failures.
The statement is contained in a press release issued signed by Comrade Ogbaloi and made available to newsmen as Nigeria mark Democracy Day.
According to him, “I wish to felicitate with my dear people of Edo State in particular and Nigerians in general for their unflinching but steadfast resolve to remain irrevocably committed to the pursuit of worthwhile ideals that binds us together as one indivisible entity.
“I salute your courage, determination to steadfastly contribute relentlessly to the growth of democracy and the nation in general.
“When the history of the growth of the nation Nigeria is to be told or written, it would certainly remain incomplete without the inclusion of your patriotic and invaluable contributions to our nation building in an era of successive governmental criminal negligence and cluelessness that have rendered Nigerians despondent.
“I urge you to continue to remain steadfastly committed to the pursuit of ideals that would enhance and deepen our democratic principles in our search for an enduring legacy in an egalitarian society where all is equal before the law.”
