Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has felicitated with Nigerians, especially people of Kogi State, as the country marks June 12 Democracy Day.
The Banker cum Politician, urged the people of the State to work in harmony with constituted authorities in the fight against insecurity.
While he appealled to the people to rededicate themselves towards strengthening the nation’s democracy, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, says all may not have been well with the nation’s nascent democracy, however maintained that the country has made a remarkable leap in sustained democracy and all round development.
“We are currently faced with numerous challenges, it takes commitment, dedication, sacrifice and noble intentions to get through the rough pitches that we are experiencing, but with God on our side, we will overcome.
“The people and the government hold the key to the solution of our problems and we must work together to make our State and Nigeria great again,” he added.
Going further, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, appealed to people of the State to work in harmony with the present administration to enable them bring the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of its citizen.
“As we mark this year’s Democracy Day on June 12, I urge all the citizens to rededicate themselves to salvaging our country and position it for greatness, with vigour and commitment.
