The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state has urged the great people of Kogi state to dedicate this Easter period to pray deeper on the need to flush out the APC and it’s menace, by offering specially prayers for the release of the bleeding state’s soul from the clutches of the APC under Governor Bello and urges Christians to spend more of their time educating their people further on the need to spread deeper the message to flush APC out, as they manage to go about celebrating the death and rise of Jesus Christ our Lord in the state, where percentage payment of salary has become a thing of celebration by the prodigals.
The PDP in a statement signed by the party’s Director of Media and Communications, Comrade Dayo Onibiyo, calls on Christians and Nigerians to reflect on the purpose of the Easter season, which is for delivering the world from the pains of sins and to redeem souls, as a means to life after death for every mankind, “we as a party also appreciate other religions as they join Christians to share the grace of the festivities and appeals for closing of ranks from the divisions the APC has caused”.
The party, enjoins all Nigerians to deplore all lawful means to get the APC out of powers which they are grossly abusing and are still unrepentant about, noting that the Easter period is for forgiveness which the APC have failed to plug into.
“How can a party in less than 7 years borrow 40 trillion with barrage of internals debts too, and still pressing to do more damages, amongst many woes, not limited to lack of safety everywhere in this country, where miscreants are now treated as kings and queens” the statement reads in part.
The PDP said, there is absolutely nothing to tell anyone again about the sadness the APC has brought on Nigerians, but how to send them packing, asking Nigerians to hold the APC responsible for the many daily rising numbers of avoidable deaths in the country, as the party continue to irresponsibly keeps pass bulks seven years after getting to power.
The PDP said there can’t be any other better time to impress the message of ousting the APC through the ballot boxes than now, when it can’t even organize it’s own convention democratically.
In conclusion, we the PDP, pray that by next Easter come 2023, we shall all be preparing to celebrate the coming in of a new brand PDP Government that will restore peace, sanity, safety and happiness ahead of any further celebration in Nigeria, unlike now where it’s difficult to even notice that there is festivities in the air, due to the gloomy economy and monster insecurities created by the unrepentant APC.
