The death has occurred of Mr. Mathew Ihiabe, a dedicated photo journalist.
Mathew Ahiabe was employed as a young photographer in old Benue State, before the creation of Kogi State before he transferred his service to Kogi State in 1991.
He served in Kogi State and had a successful career, working with various military and civilian governors in Benue and Kogi State before retiring about seven years ago.
Former Kogi State Deputy Governor Yomi Awoniyi who Mathew Ahiabe worked with between 2012-2016, described Mathew Ihiabe as a passionate photo journalist who knew his craft.
The family has not yet announced the burial arrangements, but the remains are currently at Specialist Hospital Lokoja.
