Dangote’s Donation of Tricycles To Host Communities, Steps In Right Direction – Chief Adeyanju Isenibi


 

Individuals embittered by the Tricycles donated by Dangote Cement Factory to the host communities have been urged to thread with caution to avoid spaking up issues that can degenerate into crises.

Obajana Development Association made the appeal in a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja.

The statement which was signed by the President Step of the Association, Chief Adeyanju Isenibi, said the action of the company should not be misconstrued but should rather be seen as a step forward towards realising more robust social responsibilities from the company.

The statement urged agrieved brothers in the kingdom to be appreciative of the gesture as efforts are on towards getting more for the people of Kogi State.

It explained that the citing and functionality of the industry in Obajana has attracted development noting that industries such as Ajaokuta Steel Companies, Jakura Marble that have flourished in the past have collapsed.

The statement emphasised the need to see the natural resources as a free gift from God urging those with divers opinion to operate with the good tenets and peculiarities of the host communities.

It maintained that the community has been relatively peaceful with good records of development in education sector as approval has been granted by the state government for the establishment of Kogi Poly Satellite Campus in Obajana as well as the proposed establishment of a mini airport.

The statement advised those with contrary opinion to be cautious of their words particularly those that will put the community in bad lime light or forcast death of citizens due to environmental degredation or covid nineteen.

It emphasised that Obajana with one of the best facilities for production would not put the host communities at risk and warned against utterances that can fuel crises.

It urged the people to be optimistic and appreciative of the steady development and warned against any attempt to truncate the existing peace in the area.
