CPI Condemn Attack On Kogi Journalists


 

The Challenged Parenthood Initiatives has condemned in strong terms the recent attack on a Kogi Journalist working with the Confluence News Network/Grace FM.

In a statement signed by the Executive Director CPI, Eunice Agbogun, said the attack on the Manager News, Olatunji Odimayo, a Journalist who was professionally carrying out his legitimate duties is most unfortunate.

The CPI in the statement said the attack has once again proven that security agencies need to step up their efforts, pointing out that it is regrettable that no arrest has been made several days after the dasterdly attack.

CPI called on the security agencies, the NDLEA and the Kogi State Government to without hesitation rise to the occasion by arresting the pepetrators.

The statement lamented that it is regrettable that the attackers who are said to be engaged in illicit drugs and peddlers which ought to have narrowed and make the arrest of the pepetrators easy, however express worry that the attackers are yet to be brought to book.

The CPI commiserate with the Manager News on the attack and wished him quick recovery.
