The Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency Hon Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu charges all constituents especially those who turned 18 years of age or with one reason or another for not been able register in the past, lost /damaged voters card and transfer to get themselves registered as the exercise commence today 28th June, 2021.
The Member made this statement available to newsmen at the early hours of today in Lokoja the capital city of Kogi State through his Media aide Yahaya Prince Yunusa. The Member who said the 2010 electoral act (as amended) mandates the commission *INEC* to carryout continuous voters registration (CVR) nation wide to allow citizens irrespective of the parties they belong to partake exercise . In pursuance of this the commission developed a modalities for conduct of the exercise across the country.
The Member who recalled with lots of nostalgia as many electorates who intended to exercise their civic rights were denied as a result of lost, damaged and transfer of their voters card, he used this medium to encourage them to come out en-mass to do the needful as the exercise commences today nation wide .
In addition he implored the party Members (APC) especially the ward Executives not to relent in their efforts to ensure people that fall in these categories are properly captured for them to be able to perform their civic rights as a citizens.
