Kogi State Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon Daniel Oneal Ejigbo has said that the soon to commence construction and rehabilitation of 503 kilometers of rural roads in the state is a menifest demonstration that, if given the mandate, Governor Yahaya Bello is capable of transforming Nigeria.
The Commissioner explained that the intention of Governor Bello is to connect rural roads, ease the process of transporting farm produce to markets, thereby enhancing the socio-economic well-being of rural the dwellers.
According to Hon Ejigbo, the proposed project will be executed through Rural Access and Marketing Program (RAAMP). “Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in his tireless strides to connect Kogi rural communities will soon commence 503 Km of ashphalt roads.
“In addition, the state government will grade over 2000km of roads, streams crossings and standard bridges through the Rural Access and Marketing Program (RAAMP) across the three senatorial zones.” He said the programme will commence in ernest.
Hon Ejigbo emphasised that Gov Yahaya Bello is on the right tract in seeking to lead Nigeria, especially against the backdrop of his giant strides in electrification of both rural/urban centers; urban and rural roads; education etc., which are the major yearning of the Nigerian electorates because these sectors are key to sustainable development.
