On behalf of myself, the AAS Team and supporters, I write to congratulate you on this resounding victory at our just concluded primaries. It was a keenly contested election and we all gave our best.
I know you will make a fine legislator with all that feather and experience for the overall benefit of Kogi East. Even though we’ve crossed the primary, the secondary election awaits. My prayer has always been for Allah to choose who he deems fit to help provide a purposeful legislative representation to our people and you Victor have just been nominated as the standard flagbearer of our great party to lead the race in the general election come 2023.
Permit me to also say i am also proud of how we all worked together as co-aspirants with two highly respected personalities in the person of Air Marshal Isaac Alfa and Elder Ubolo Okpanachi to this very moment, fine veterans who deserve all the respect and accolade for their service to the state and our nation. Kogi East will be proud of us as we have shown by our conduct and to others what good democratic ideals and character we are made up of. I am sure they’ll hope and yearn for me synergy and collaboration as we move ahead.
For the standards we’ve set in this contest, it’s my humble prayer that we’ll continue to sustain it in front of the headwinds we will be facing in the future. Let’s continue to show others that despite our diverse interest, our collective resolve for a better Kogi East remains our collective priority.
Let me use this medium to also express my sincere appreciation to members of the AAS Campaign Organization, volunteers, campaign teams of other aspirants, our esteemed supporters, families, friends etc who worked so hard to help, promote and project their principals. This is not a defeat but a victory to us all as members of one big family. It’s a contest that was lost by us and won by one of our own and we must strive to complete the task of delivering Kogi East Senatorial District to PDP.
As a loyal party member, I will continue to remain resolute and committed to the party wherever necessary. This is not the end but the beginning of a renewed vision to salvage our district from dire straits. A task you have been chosen by members of our great party to lead and I will be available to render my support as always. I implore you to take charge and show leadership across board with other candidates and supporters like never before.
Once again, I want to say congratulations as the first amongst equals to be the candidate that will the PDP in the Kogi East Senatorial District general elections come 2023. As for me, Allah’s time is always the best and I am full of gratitude.
