Hon. Leke Abejide Is The New Chairman House Committee on Customs & Excise.
The Honourable Membe House of Representatives, Yagba Federal Constituency was today confirmed as the New Chairman House Committee on Customs & Excise Duty.
He was confirmed today as the new chairman of the committee, after the demise of the former Chairman Late Yuguda Hassan Kila who was formerly representing Gwaram Federal Constituency, Jigawa State.
Hon. Leke Abejide was the former Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Customs, at the plenary today was confirmed as the new chairman of the committee.
Hon. Leke Abejide’s confirmation as the Chairman of the committee is not new to us, he has been up and doing when he was the Deputy Chairman and has always been upright to see that the committee performs it’s legislative duties accordingly.
Although it might surprise others but to us, it is not a surprise. Hon. Leke Abejide is destined for leadership and we are glad this is coming into reality in due time.
He has brought about light and inspiration to the committee since its inception in the 9th Assembly. He has also been on the right track towards achieving the legislative duties of every member of the committee.
We are sure that during his own time, the committee will have it better, customs will also be repositioned to bring about effective service delivery to the people of Nigeria.
Our heartily, congratulations to the New Chairman of the House Committee on Customs & Excise as he takes up the responsibility to work and deliver accordingly.
