A great iroko tree has fallen in Kogi State. The late Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alh. Dr. Ado Ibrahim came to some of us as a rude shock, knowing fully well that his royal admonitions, counselling about violence-free election and elderly prayers for a free and fair election will be seriously missed at this critical moments of our dear Kogi State.
Kogi State and indeed Nigeria has lost a great King who always say it as it is and who has brought tremendous progress, prosperity and peace to his immediate domain. His exemplary leadership styles that has made him not only loyal to the Chairman, Kogi State Traditional Council, the Attah of Igalaland but he has held the position of the Vice Chairman, of the Traditional Council with candour, dignity, respect and without conflicts of interest, even when such position was vacant before the enthronement of the present Attah of Igala, HRM Alaji Mathew Opaluwa.
In the metamorphosis of the Kogi State Pension Administration from the old and largely unfunded old pension scheme to the new contributory pension scheme, HRM ADO Ibrahim honoured us with his presence at the government House during the Administration of Alh. Ibrahim Idris.
He was such a detribalizeroyal father, a progressive, highly celeberal, respected and a man of his words.
We pray for his gentle soul to rest in peace and for all of us in Kogi State and his immediate family to solace in Allah with the believe that Allah (SWT) will grant him aljarna firdausi.
