Condolence: Former Labour Minister, Prof. Stephen Ocheni Visits family of late former Registrar PAAU.


 

A former Minister of State, Labor and Employment, Professor Stephen Ocheni today paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former Registrar of Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, Dr. Abubakar Y Idu at their residence Ojoku, in Ankpa Local Government Area.

Prof. Stephen Ocheni who was accompanied on the visit by the Ohigba of Mozum, Khalid Abubakar and other guests, was received on arrival by the relatives of the deceased.

Prof. Ocheni while condoling with the wife of the deceased, Hajia Halima Abubakar Idu, enjoined her
to be strong and have faith in God as only our Creator could be a source of strength and encouragement at moment like this.

The former Minister said the deceased was a committed and selfless leader, who put in all his best in any given assignment at public and private levels.

Prof. Ocheni maintained that since his part and the deceased crossed ,it has been that of love, strong bond ,solid friendship and affection for one another, a rare qualities he asserted, would be greatly missed.

According to Prof. Ocheni, “it is not the duration, but what you have donated to life that has impacted meaningfully on the society”, saying the deceased was an asset not only to his immediate community, but the society as a whole.

He prayed God to grant the family the courage to bear the great loss and also for God to bless the soul of the deceased with eternal bliss.

The former Minister also paid similar visit to an elder brother of the deceased, Senator Abdul Abubakar(popularly known as Railway) at Ojoku in Ankpa Local Government Area.

The late former Registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Y Idu was said to have slumped and died at an event in Idah Local government Area on Wednesday last week.
