The acting President of Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta,Comrade Toluwa Mulade has called on FG,, and NIMASA to attend to Nigerian Students who had protested against negligence on a program scheduled for 4 years that had taken 10 years in Philippine.
Reacting to the trending video on Twitter where some of the beneficiaries of the Nigerian Seafarers Development Program ( NSDP) accused Nigeria government and the implementing agency of abandoning them, Comrade Toluwa Mulade noted that the video depict poor management of our challenges.
He said this in a statement signed and made available to News Men in Warri, Delta State.
According to him, the NSDP program initiated by MIMASA in 2009 is supposed to have produced 4 sets of graduates in Philippine and also the federal government has the financial capacity to replicate such institution in Nigeria to avoid huge spending of our resources outside the shore of Nigeria, but because of poor management, a 4 years program has turned to 10years .
He further said that the delay in the scholarship program has given room for such protest which do not represent Nigeria international image in a good light.
He however called on the Director General of NIMASA, Bashir Jamoh to speedy up investigations on why the students are protesting and provide working solution to the plight of the students.
