Comr. Usman Ogohi Emerges Kogi State NYCN Chairman


 

Pulls 186 votes to defeat Comr. Ben Jerry with 46 votes, Job Amana Daniel 3 votes

A new Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter has emerged.

He is Comr Usman Ogohi Mayor Samuel, hails from Dekina LGA.

Comr. Usman Ogohi defeated his close rival, Comr. Ben Jerry, Farouk Onuh and Job Amana Daniel in a keenly contested election held at the old Lokoja township stadium.

Announcing the results, the Chief returning officer for the 2021 Kogi NYCN election, Amb. Oladele Nihi, said Usman Ogohi scored 186 votes to beat Ben Jerry who scored 40 votes .

Similarly, the returning officer said Job Amana Daniel pulled 3 votes while Farouk Onuh pulled out of the election.

Consequently, Amb. Oladele Nihi declared Comr. Usman Ogohi as the duly elected State Chairman of the NYCN, Kogi State Chapter.

Speaking after the declaration of the results, Comr Usman Ogohi promised to unite all the members of the NYCN in the State, urged those who contested with him to Join hands in moving the council forward.

He promised to reposition the Council and to consolidate the gains recorded by the past Executives, commended Gov Yahaya Bello for making the NYCN and the youths of the State a priority.
