I am COMR. IBRAHIM OSITE, from Angwantivi junction precisely in ward A, Lokoja Local Government of Kogi State.
I am an aspirant that contested for the position of Kogi State House of Assembly to represent good people of Lokoja I State constituency in last 2019 general election, under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress (APC) party. And I later humbly withdrew from the race with a cogent reason as my aspiration wasn’t selfish, desperate nor do or die affair but loyalty, love and respect I have for the party are paramount.
Now, I am back again on the race for the 2023 general election contesting for the same position, Kogi State House of Assembly for Lokoja I Constituent under the same party (APC) Inshallahu. My coming into the race is purposeful, credible, and quality representation to turn around the fortune of my would-be constituent through the grace of Almighty God if given the mandate.
I so much commend the efforts of the present administration of both President Muhammad Buhari and Yahaya Bello and their leadership styles especially on security wise. And I pray that come 2023, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) will succeed Mr. President Amen, Inshallahu.
Let me say little about the New Direction Administration of Governor Yahaya Bello since inception about six years ago. He has set Positive Model of Governance in Nigeria and done a lot of projects across the state such as; Road Constructions and Rehabilitations are ongoing, various Health Care Centre’s, Educational Reforms, Agricultural Infrastructure, Civil Service Reforms and Security Engineering etc.
I do play politics of what will be of benefits for others in the society because the utmost good for the generality of the society ought to be the priority. And our leaders should not be self-centre because they cannot thrive in isolation of others.
The ‘Not Too Young to Run’ bill will definitely come to stay by 2023 whereby youths will occupy many elective positions in the state and Nigeria in general. We are now in era of Youthful and Useful, Youths O’clock, Youths Agenda, Youths Take Over and Youths Emancipation.
In the country today, youths took about 75% of our populations and still same youths are complaining about bad leadership or governance as case maybe, so it is high time the youths takes their rightful place in the society. And mind you if youths are engaged in relevant areas, thuggery and violence will reduce drastically if not end. When, I will continue to support the administration of Governor, Yahaya Bello to rewrite the history of our dear state and together a lot could be achieved.
Something very special about our present 9th National Assembly which is the ‘Electoral Law’ Bill and Mr. President has signed it and Nigeria Constitution Amendment by our National Assembly which granted Financial Autonomy for both Local Governments, State Houses of Assembly and Judiciary. The electoral system of Nigeria in the past was not standard but with the recent amendment our system will improved.
There so many reasons why I should be sent to State House of Assembly because, I am a grass-root politician that know much about problem of people living in the society. And I am very young and energetic, Vibrant and Dynamic, Focus, Intellectual, Honest and Humane. Also not in love with money bags, Tribal and Sectional. It is high time elders should rest and send young ones to represent them at various political offices. Let youths fish for them and transform the society as we on global world and technical advancement and I assure you that youth can do it better. I am not totally against our elders involving in decision making in the society but youths should also be given a chance and sense of belonging.
We should understand that politics is all about Dividends of Democracy and not forget that there is a say that says “NO YOUTH NO DEMOCRACY”. That means democracy is for the youths and dividends of it should also be for the youths. By 2023 our system of operation in the both State and country in general will be transformed if youths take over.
I will continues to talk about my party APC, Nigeria can only get better if the current tempo of Governance adopted by the ruling All Progressive Congress APC both in the state and federal can be sustained. And I urge the party members to nominate credible and popular candidates to enable us clinch all the sit in the state. APC is change for better not worst by God grace.
Kogi West would transformed both Economically, Socially and Politically by 2023 when the right people come on board especially at Senatorial Level if someone like Engr. Joseph Olusegun from yagba west Local Government to represent the good people of Kogi West at the National Assembly come 2023 by God grace.
I therefore, call on people to support the administration of President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello to rewrite the history of our dear state and country and my ambition come 2023 Inshallahu.
My aspiration is Real, please key in and together, we would achieved.
