
Community Appeals to Gov. Ododo to Appoint Oworo Indigene As Rector for Kogi Poly.

The Oworo Community of Lokoja Local Government Area, has appealed to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo to consider appointing a son of the soil as the next Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
This appeal stems from the fact that no indigene of the Local Government has presided over the institution since its inception.
Chief Aiyedobon Berida, Acting President of Oworo Development Association (ODA) National, in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, stated that the community has qualified sons and daughters capable of managing the institution.
The community praised Gov. Ododo’s administration for its commitment to fairness, equity, and justice, and assures him of their loyalty and support for his re-election bid in 2027.
The statement commend Gov. Ododo’s efforts in repositioning the state, highlighting his achievements in just two years as unprecedented.
The community is confident that a Rector from the Community Rector would be a fitting recognition of their contributions to the institution and the State.
