COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING OF THE NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (NYCN),


Following all-important meeting of NYCN Stakeholders (which include, serving State executives, Local Government Coordinators and past officers of the council) from Kogi East under the chairmanship of Comrade Pete Ahmodu (the Zonal Chairman of the Council), the following resolutions were reached:
1. That His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja and his Chief of Staff, Pharmacist Asuku Jamiu be applauded and appreciated for their continued support to the council, and the youths of Kogi East in his recent appointments into different political offices.
2. That the Zone reaffirms its support and commitment to the presidential ambition of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello.
3. That the unity of NYCN Kogi East is non-negotiable and indivisible
4. That zoning of NYCN positions in Kogi State as agreed since 2005 should be strictly adhered to in the interest of unity, fairness and justice
5. That the tenure of Nihi-Alonge led administration ends on the 27th of May, 2021 and that the administration constitutionally terminated on same day
6. That the Supervisory Ministry (Ministry of Youth and Sports Development), the Board of Trustees (BoT) and other critical stakeholders across the three senatorial districts rise up to their responsibilities to put in motion all committees for a successful transition of the State Executive Council.
