Sequel to the dastardly attack on the Investigative Journalist/News Editor of Confluence TV/Grace FM, we had called the Nigerian Police and The Kogi State Government to immediately Investigate and arrest the perpetrators of the act.
Reports from the Nigerian Police Force Kogi State Command has shown that 2 person have been arrested as a result of their investigation and are awaiting prosecution.
We want to commend the Nigerian Police Force for their quick arrest of the culprits as this would serve as a deterrent to other miscreants.
We also wish to commend the Kogi State Government for providing the support in terms of logistics for the investigation.
Our Journalists are a critical part of our democracy and must be protected at all cost.
The Alhaji Yahaya Bello Government must continue on this positive path and continue to garner the confidence of the people.
Citizens must also not be afraid to call out their government where they fail to act or act too slowly. But they must also be courageous to commend them when they act within the duties and well.
