The State Security Adviser, Cmdr. Jerry Omodara(Rtd), and the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, added a touch of prestige to the Kogi International Carnival held in the Kogi West Senatorial District.
The carnival, which kicked off yesterday with a grand ceremony led by His Excellency, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, aims to unite the citizens of Kogi State and promote cultural diversity and harmony.
Both dignitaries applauded Gov. Usman Ododo for creating a conducive environment for such a significant event and for prioritizing the safety and well-being of the people of Kogi State.
They also took the opportunity to extend their congratulations to the hardworking organizers for their dedication and efforts in putting together the carnival.
The carnival is set to encompass all three senatorial districts of Kogi State, with the first phase focusing on the vibrant and culturally rich Kogi West Senatorial District.
The event featured colorful displays of traditional dances, mouth-watering local cuisine, and captivating exhibitions of indigenous crafts, all aimed at celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of the region.
