Mrs. Tokunbo Awoniyi, has in her usual magnanimity during festive seasons brought smiles upon the faces of children living at the Margret Ohiani Motherless Babies Home, Zariagi.
Mrs. Tokunbo Awoniyi is wife to the former Kogi State Deputy Governor under the Capt. Idris Wada administration, between 2012-2016.
Mrs. Awoniyi has under her Mary and Martha Outreach impacted the lives of orphans and the vulnerable in the society. Aside the usual Christmas Party she organises for the children of MoM, this year, she added the payment of School fees, WAEC/NECO and JAMB fee for children that would be writing their final Year Examination in Secondary Schools.
Towards ensuring that they children writing the final Year examination come out with flying colours, Mrs Awoniyi have also promised to engage a lesson teacher for the students.
This is as she also equally assured of giving the Children, their caregivers, monthly feeding stipends.
As a way of making the children wear new looks and to celebrate this year’s Yuletide with joy, Mrs. Awoniyi bought the Children new sets of shoes and clothing’s.
Mrs. Awoniyi said she is motivated by the happiness and sense of fulfillment she brings to the lives of the children, urged other well meaning individuals to compliment Government efforts in making the society a better place.
She equally called for attention from the government and other organizations to the challenges faced by Margaret Ohiani Motherless Babies Home, appeal for support.
For over a decade, Mrs Awoniyi have always made it a responsibility to renovate the Margret Ohiani orphanage, change their beddings, provide needed support to enable the children have a befitting accommodation.
Mrs. Idowu Abu represented Mrs. Awoniyi at the 2024 children Christmas party.
