This was contained in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja.

He praised the unity and peaceful coexistence between the Christian and Muslim communities in the Lokoja Emirate Council, adding that both religious groups truly embody Lokoja’s reputation as the “home of peace and Harmony.”

Maigari said, “Lokoja emirate council is enjoying christians prayers, which you offer to God, and your cooperation with their brothers Muslims in the Lokoja traditional council, especially at this festive season.

“The unity between the Christians and the Muslims should continue. The Christian religion is peaceful, and adherents should follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

“It is the peaceful coexistence of the people in Lokoja that makes it the home of peace and Harmony.” he said

The monarch acknowledged the challenges the country is currently facing, including economic hardship, and encouraged Christians to engage in fervent prayers for divine intervention
