Christmas Celebration: Tycoon Fetes Indigent Widows, Physically Challenged Persons In Abakaliki

A business mogul and Chief Executive Officer of Tycoon Group of Companies Dr. Okpara Benson Iyke has provided over 500 indigent persons comprising widows and the physically challenged peoples with enormous gift items.

The Tycoon CEO celebrated with the people during annual less privileged and physically challenged persons party in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital.

In his remarks, Dr. Okpala expressed deep gratitude to God for his gracious intervention upon his life during trial moment and for keeping his family alive and healthy till this year’s Christmas celebration.

He noted that the event of the less privileged and physically challenged party was established as a convenant between his family and God for the purpose of putting smiles on the faces of the indigents and the less privileged persons in the society.

He added that the Company has given scholarship to over 10 students to study from Primary to Higher Institutions and has also paid hospital bills of many indigent patients and saying that the aim was to complement the social responsibilities of the state governor in reaching out to the needy in Ebonyi State and beyond.

In a sermon, the Priest in charge of Christ Anglican Church Ogharugo in Ezza North LGA, Ebonyi State, Rev. Canon Augustine Ndunkwu advised people to cultivate the habit of giving to the poor and the needy as that would make them more prosperous in life.

He commended Tycoon for making it a point of duty to assist the less privileged ones in the society every year and prayed God to bless him with long life, good health and prosperity.

Some of the beneficiaries including Mr Mathew Mbada, Nwafor Moses among others lauded the benefactor for the kind gesture and called on well meaning individuals and political office holders to emulate the philanthropic disposition of the Tycoon to better the the lives of the less privileged persons in the society.
