Ban Illegal Revenue Collection on Highway
The Lokoja Local Government announces the immediate ban on all illegal revenue collection activities on highways particularly around Nataco-Okumi-Banda and Felele areas.
This decision aims to enhance free movement of people and goods and to end the extortion and harassment of motorists and other road users.
While residents and travelers are advised to report incidents to authorities, a taskforce has been constituted to go round and enforce compliance.
We urge the individuals/group involved to immediate comply and dismantle all blockage on the road. Failure to comply will attract sanctions.
