The Kogi State Commissioner For Education Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones has sent a message of felicitations to Gov. Yahaya Bello on the auspicious occasion of his 48ty birthday.
Hon. Jones who was full of praises and prayers for Gov. Bello described him as a Governor who came, saw and conquered by positively repositioning the education sector of the State.
” Your Excellency, I whole heartedly on behalf of the management and staff of the Ministry extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your 48th birthday.
“This special day presents an opportunity to celebrate your remarkable achievements and leadership as the governor of Kogi State with particular reference to the education sector.
As someone who has the privilege of serving as commissioner for education under your administration in the second term, I testify to the outstanding work you have done in the positive repositioning of the education sector.
” Without sounding immodest, Your Excellency’s achievements in the upgrade of infrastructure and accreditation in our tertiary institutions remains a watershed. The establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara and recent establishment of Okun University, underscores your accomplishments.
“Today, it is on record that the GYB Model Science Secondary Schools spread across the State and other interventions in the secondary schools, with emphasis on the recruitment of 4000 teachers remains unprecedented in the education sector”.
Your Excellency, your commitment to the well-being of the people of Kogi State is also evident in the significant progress made in other key sectors.
Furthermore, your commitment to both rural and urban development is commendable. Through strategic initiatives, you have transformed rural communities, bringing development and progress to previously underserved areas. Urban centers have also witnessed significant improvements in infrastructure, transportation, and overall livability, making Kogi State a more attractive place for residents and investors alike.
Your administration’s achievements in infrastructure development are worth celebrating. Roads, bridges, and other vital infrastructure have been constructed or rehabilitated, improving connectivity and facilitating economic growth. These projects have enhanced trade, commerce, and transportation, benefiting the people of Kogi State in numerous ways.
