The President of the Abuja branch of the Al-hidayah foundation an Islamic organization, Alhaja Haleemat Nurudeen has urged Muslim couple to build righteous homes with solid foundation in the doctrines of Islam and strong faith enshrined by collaborative efforts that would transcend to the moral upbringing of the children and in turn bring about a better society. Alhaja Haleemat disclosed this in a speech she presented during the organization’s inaugural lecture held on 5th July, 2021 at the women centre Abuja,titled “Guide to a lasting marital love, by Dr mustapha Othman kannike Soro.
She lamented that, marriages has become source of pain rather than happiness for many couple some has become domestic and marital abuse,many marriages and different homes had experienced turbulent times which has negatively the children and the larger society, stressing that the family which is the fabric of the society has lost it role.
According to the president, the core of nation building should not be left solely on government, people at all level of the society must contribute their quotas in fighting the menace of broken marriages so that collectively we can guarantee a sane society characterised by love and empathy.
Alhaja Haleemat commended to founder of the Al-hidayar foundation Alhaja Khadijjah Olayiwola Abdulsalam Ibn Imam for physically present with her her respectable team,in spite of her tight schedule,adding that the foundation since it creation in year 2000,has helped a lot of couple and homes through their teachings and counseling.
