The African Democratic Congress ADC Kogi state holds party congress elects state working committee which was rancour-free.
The National Chairman Chief Nwosu with other members of the National Working Committee of the party were present at the state congress, he applauded the doggedness of Hon. Leke Abejide and how he has been able to make legislation easy. He said, Hon. Abejide has promoted the interest of the party through his commitment and dedication through unprecedented internal party democracy because of his leadership.
Hon. Kingsley Temitope emerged as the Chairman of the party in Kogi state alongside other executive members elected to steer the affairs of the party in the state.
The State Executives were affirmed by the delegates from the 21 Local Governments of the state, took the oath of office and were inaugurated by the secretary of the National Working Committee Alhaji Saidu Abdullahi.
In the chairman’s acceptance speech, Hon. Temitope Kingsley commended the Member representing Yagba Federal Hon. Leke Abejide for his support and the people for peaceful congress in the state.
He said, Hon. Leke had remained a worthy ambassador for the African Democratic Congress through his cooperative performance since 2019.
He said that members of the new Kogi state working Committee would serve the party and lead it to greater achievements.
Speaking at the state Congress, Hon. Leke Abejide admired the corporation of the party members, he further outlined his achievements, saying he has been able to deliver the dividend of democracy in Yagba through his representation. Also, he mentioned his recent project, Iluagba to Isanlu road construction and community project worth 5M in 71 communities in Yagba Federal Constituency.
” I will make sure I deliver as expected and I won’t disappoint, take my words to the bank, I’ve been able to equip general hospitals while schools received modern Tables and Chairs in Yagba”.
“Be rest assured that more interventions are coming through education and infrastructure that will serve all”. He said.
The party NWC and Hon. Abejide welcomed decampees and new members who joined the party newly, they officially welcomed them to the party and enjoined them to be committed to the growth of the party.
