The Project Coordinator of Kogi State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes, ACReSAL, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, OON, has described Senator Abubakar Ohere as a quintessential public servant, a visionary administrator, and a shining beacon of service whose life continues to inspire a generation of leaders across Kogi State and beyond.
In a birthday felicitation message to the distinguished statesman on Monday, Barr. Jatto said Senator Ohere’s remarkable record of service stands as a model of dedication, patriotism and excellence in governance.
She noted his impactful tenure as Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, and as a two-time Commissioner in the Kogi State Executive Council — first as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, where he championed peace, unity, and grassroots development, and later as Commissioner for Works, where he drove landmark infrastructural transformation across the state.
“Barr. Jatto said Senator Ohere is a man of uncommon intellect, integrity, and patriotism. His years in public office were defined by bold vision, meticulous planning, and an unrelenting commitment to the welfare of the people.
“As Commissioner for Works, he redefined the face of infrastructure in our State. As Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, he brought stability, cohesion, and dignity to our traditional institutions. And in the Senate, he was a voice of reason, courage, and advocacy for the good people of Kogi Central.”
The ACReSAL Project Coordinator further described the celebrant as a bridge-builder, a mentor to many, and a leader whose humility, accessibility, and passion for development have earned him the respect and admiration of people across party lines.
“As you mark another year today, we celebrate not just your birthday, but the depth of your contributions to nation-building, the warmth of your humanity, and the legacy of service you continue to build. You are a pride to Kogi State and a true embodiment of leadership with compassion,” she said.
Barr. Jatto prayed Almighty Allah to grant Senator Ohere renewed strength, sound health, greater wisdom, and many more years of impactful service to God and humanity.
