Biraidu Stakeholders call for Unity for accelerated development


 

The Lokoja branch of Biraidu District Development Association, BDDA, has held her End of Year Get together with several calls for the realization of set goals through unity among members.

Chairman of the Association, Comrade Obaka Meliga made the appeal on Sunday at the ceremony held in Lokoja.

Comrade Obaka said only unity and sense of purpose could help transform the Association and the District at large.

He commended members for their commitment so far in the year under review despite challenges and prayed for greater years ahead.

In his charge, the patron, Elder John Ausa noted that the event was to offer praises to God for his care in the year, urging members to sustain their prayers for a better tomorrow.

In his address, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Alhaji Abubakar Akowe said God desires appreciation hence the get together was put in place.

Alhaji Abubakar who was a former Permanent Secretary in Kogi State told the members to be optimistic of a greater twenty twenty-three by offering supplications to God.

He thanked members for their contributions which culminated in the success of the get together and advised members to work towards making Biraidu a better place for all.

Goodwill messages were delivered by Comrade James Odaudu, former NLC Chairman in the state, Retired Col. Vincent Iyaji, Mr Clement Ulije,among others.

Special prayers were offered for the individuals, the Association and Kogi State at large.
