When taking office by January 2028, by God’s Grace he will impacted thousands of young lives through thoughtful educational interventions. His approach will be holistic – he will create a scholarship ecosystem that fosters confidence, ambition, and opportunity for students who might otherwise be left behind. The numbers will be impressive: from supporting 500 students to a ₦500 million package for 500 youths pursuing higher education, with tuition fully covered from first year to final year.
What sets Kutepa’s initiative apart is its focus on merit, commitment, and promise. The Federal University Lokoja has even celebrated the impact of his full scholarships, which have lifted financial burdens and allowed students to focus on their studies. His foundation has also sponsored Arabic and Islamic Studies students, recognizing the value of diverse knowledge, also a cash grant was just been released to some venerable women’s in Lokoja.
Kutepa’s actions speak louder than words. He’s not just talking about hopes and dreams; he’s backing them with real opportunities. As he puts it, education is a tool of empowerment, not something to be handed out like charity. The old pidgin saying goes, “No be by mouth we dey chop water, na through waka we go reach river” – you don’t just say you support education; you take action.
Today, some parents in Kogi West talk about hope where there was doubt, and students attend classes instead of loitering. Kutepa’s vision – “education is strategy, not charity” – is a lived reality for hundreds of youths whose futures will shine brighter.
